Privacy Policy

The short version

ChangingUnits doesn't ask you to create an account, doesn't sell your data, and doesn't store anything on our servers beyond what you send through the contact form. The converters themselves run entirely in your browser.

What we collect and why

Google Analytics — We use Google Analytics to see which converters people use most and where visitors come from (country, browser, device type). This data is aggregated and anonymous. No individual user is tracked or identified. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Local storage — Your recently visited converters are saved in your browser's local storage so the homepage can show your personal "top converters" list. This data never leaves your device. We have no access to it, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Contact form — If you send us a message, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message via Formspree. We use this only to respond to you. We don't add you to any mailing list or share your details with anyone.

Advertising

ChangingUnits uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. To opt out of personalised ads, visit Google Ads Settings or use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out.

Cookies

We don't set any first-party cookies ourselves. Google Analytics and Google AdSense set their own cookies. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

If you've contacted us and want your message deleted, or have any other data-related request, email [email protected] and we'll sort it out promptly.

Changes

If we make any significant changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site means you accept the current policy.
